Educational Services
Early
Intervention Program:
Services are
provided, all 12 months of the year, to eligible children. Children are
approved by the Department of Health to receive services. All services
are offered at no charge to families. Evaluations and services can be
provided at the child's home, day care setting or at one of our centers.
These programs are sponsored by the Department of Health in Kings, Rockland,
Nassau, and Sullivan counties. Home and Center based Services available
include:
Special Education
Speech
Occupational and Physical
Therapies
Psychological Services
Parent Workshops and
Service Coordination
Center based Services:
half day program (morning or afternoon), small groups, air conditioned
classrooms, free transportation, Cholov Yisoroel meals and snacks, adaptive
computer use, and assistive technology.
Children and Adolescent Programs:
This
is a state of the art special education program for monolingual and bilingual
children between the ages of 5 and 21 years. The focus of the program is
on the attainment of functional skills that include activities of daily
living, academic achievement and socialization.
The Prevocational Program
incorporates all facets of transitional services which address students'
individual long term adult outcomes. This programs include: travel training,
community integration, socialization techniques, job searching techniques,
exploration of post-school programs, volunteer job experience, workshop
skills, and hands-on work experience.

Preschool Program:
Services are provided,
all 12 months of the year, to eligible children. Children must be approved
through their local school district in order to receive services. The services
are offered at no charge to families. These services can be provided in
the child's home, day care or nursery school setting as well as one of our
centers located in Kings, Nassau, Rockland or Sullivan county.
Home services consist
of SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher) and Related Services. All
of our professional staff are trained to work with the child in the natural
environment and provide assistance to the child's parents, day care provider
or nursery school teacher.
The center offers half
and full day programs and integrated classes for eligible children. At certain
sites, we also offer extended day care after the school day from 2:00 p.m.
to 6:00 p.m. The following services are also located at our preschool centers:
